*El Tornero III is located in the same cottage, next to the swimming pool, is built with stone and Spanish tile, it has a capacity up to thirteen people with seven bedrooms and four bathrooms as well as a wide living room.

Castaño del Robledo (Huelva)
In the center core of the mountain chain, in the middle of a leafy forest mass rich in chestnuts, where its name belongs, pines, cork oak and holm oaks, surrounded by orchards and fruit trees, it is located el Castaño del Robledo, the core of the population at high altitude above the sea level of the province of Huelva, and one of the smallest municipal terms with just 13 km2. It has one of the best conserved cottages, being one of the most representative villages of the serrano architecture. This population is without doubting an obligated stop for all tourist who passes along the area.
The first reviews to this locality are back to the XV century, with the assistance of a levy to the War of Granada. But its official foundation was during 1554 by five neighbors of Araceno, such as dependent small village of this.
The process of emancipation begins in 1700, when its 50 neighbors report in front of Royal Justice the annoyances that the people from the villa of Aracena. Since this moment a period of economic and demographic splendor that is prolonged until the second half of the following century. In 1877 the population rises its historic maximum
The important exploitation of the chestnut grove and other productions such as the primary ones, livestock, miner and forest, in the XVIII century, that the hunting and industrial activities in the XIX century were the main support of this time of growth. In the XX century the population suffered a demographic decline due to the crisis of the primary economies that the Mountain Chain suffered. Nowadays the chestnuts grove, this municipality produces the half of chestnuts of the whole province, and secondly the porcine livestock forms the base of the economy of this population.

WHERE TO GO
-The cottages: These cottages are declared Historic-Artistic set which baroque and neoclassic facades reflect the best moments of this settlement. The most important elements of its building are the sunny spots and the bars, besides some doors and Windows that belong to the unmistakable image of the Chestnut tree.
-The church of Santiago El Mayor: This church is from the middle of the XVI century, it dominates a part of the village and it has the privilege for having the first parish priest Mr. Benito Arias Montano. It is a Renaissance building with Gothic influences. Its floor is of Latin cross and with an only nave with two covered tracks by vaults, the transept by an imperfect spherical cupola and the arms with vaults. Inside, there is an organ in very bad conditions, an organ from 1750 that is the oldest one of the province.
-Monument or New Church: We need to stand out in this locality the stocky structure of huge dimensions, known by the chestnut seller as Monument or New Church that was initiated in 1788 to substitute the parish due to the demographic growth.
Of big proportions, the building was built in neoclassic designs and it is built by a big covered nave by a barrel vault and five chapels in each size communicated among them. Inside the huge cupola stands out.
-The Old Bullring: It is located next to the new town hall. It is a reservoir for the watering of the orchards of the lower meadow. In summer is for a social meeting so the neighbors go to have a bath in the hot time.
FAIRS AND FESTIVITIES
The festive cycle of this locality takes place in the 29th of June, the festivities of San Pedro are celebrated, that it has a fun part of games and dances and it also has the procession of the Virgin in compliance of the promise for having gotten out this population of a cholera infection.
In Easter the people go on procession on the Maundy Thursday and the brotherhood of Santa Vera Cruz on the Good Friday. On the Resurrection Sunday the Day of the Bread, the people burn a Satan in the square of the Poplar. The festivities of the Table are celebrated on the last week of August in honor to the Pain Virgin.

The rich gastronomy of this village is intimately linked with its privileged geographic situation.
Pastures, chestnut grove, walnut tree and orchards with fruit trees, describe the landscape of the municipality.
Good ham and Iberian pork made by hand and an unbeatable climate, you can find them along the whole year. In the slaughter’s time, very recommended for the good tasters of the homemade and traditional cuisine, they make dishes of big tradition, depending on the days.
So the first day the people have the stew with chicken innards, rice and potatoes, stew with “pringá”; black chicken innards (liver) and white chicken innards or “bofe” (lung and liver), the third day.
They are also very popular: the crumbs made with bread, potatoes, oil and garlic, that are usually accompanied with sardines “embarricás” (herring) and “churri”, the grape-juice.
Bread of potatoes with purée, tomato, garlic, onion and chard, is eaten on the Resurrection Sunday, “the day of the bread”, in the countryside next to the family. As well, in autumn, the mushrooms take a very worthy place in the making of multiple and varied dishes. Its pastry-making with base in the chestnut and the nuts are becoming one of the most appreciated gastronomic products.
